Next generation of biofuel production technologies supporting the de-carbonisation of the transports sector

Heat-to-Fuel is a Horizon 2020 project started in September 2017 that aims at delivering next generation biofuel production technologies supporting the decarbonisation of transport while contributing to support EU’s energy security and local economies. The main project goal is the production of high quality biofuels while achieving a significant greenhouse gas emission abatement and cost reduction.

Main Topics :

• Deliver cost-competitive technologies;
• Increase the quality of biofuel while achieving GHG emission reduction;
• Reduce EU’s dependency of energy imports;
• Support local economies;
• Prove the technological feasibility and economic worthiness of a new value chain to be scaled-up at industrial level.
