The Agrochar project dealt with the conversion of digestate from the biomass anaerobic digestion in a directly usable product for agriculture. Two thermochemical and hydrothermal processes were tested: the conventional carbonization process (slow pyrolysis) and the Hydrotermal Carbonization process (HTC). The produced charcoal was tested in order to prove the effect in selected plants growth.
