Carbon activation is a process that allows to generate added value from converting residual biomasses like lignin, olive stone, prunings etc into an interesting bioproduct.

Activated carbons are largely used for air and water filtration, purification and deodorization as well as in other field like medical science, chemistry and food industry.

In RE-CORD laboratory activated carbons from a wide range of biomass are obtained through chemical or physical activation. Specific analysis are carried out on produces activated carbons as well as on commercial ones for the product characterization.
