On May 2016 delegations from Tongji University and China Resource Technology and Equipment Committee (CRTEC) visited the laboratories and the pilot unit of RE-CORD, kindly accompanied by Ms Sara Ovidi (Tongji Univ), in the framework of the ongoing cooperation activities between Tongji University and the University of Florence.
RE-CORD is a no-profit research institution, active in the field of biomass, bioenergy, bioproducts and waste, funded by the University of Florence, Municipalities of the Mugello area (Florence metropolitan area) and some companies active in the field.
On 27th of May Prof Pinjing He, Head of the Institute of Waste Treatment & Reclamation and and Prof Hua Zhang, visited the chemical laboratory, the pyrolysis and HTL/HTC plants and the research equipments. This was the opportunity to discuss possible occasions of future collaborative R&D activities in the field of biomass and waste conversion into low carbon fuels and products.
On 23rd of May Prof Lu Jun, Director of CRTEC, and Liang Wei, Deputy Director, accompanied a delegation of Chinese Companies to the RE-CORD installation and sites, still with the kind assistance of Ms Sara Ovidi (Tongji University). The group examined the innovative technologies developed by the RE-CORD research group, considering collaboration in the Chinese or Italian market.
