We are proud to announce that this EUBCE edition starts with the Linneborn Prize awarded to the RE-CORD President, David Chiaramonti, during the Opening of the Conference in the Main Auditorium. As from the Linneborn Prize Award announcement, “For over 22 years David has shown consistent excellence in research and management of implementation of renewable energy with strong focus on biomass. He showed remarkable results in the R&D of thermochemical conversion processes of biomass and the production and implementation of biofuels at pilot and demo scale. He provided inspiring and effective leadership in large national and international co-operation projects in these areas (supported by Institutions as EC, Asian Development Bank, It. Min. for Environment etc.). Moreover he delivered important and much appreciated intellectual and leadership contributions to international and National organizations like IEA-Bioenergy, UN-ICAO CAEP AFTF, EABA, ESBF, DBFZ, Ministries for Environment/Agriculture/Research, ENAC, Accademia dei Georgofili, etc…”
Just a few moments to celebrate and we will be ready for the first Oral Presentation, held by Marco Buffi, “Modifies and experimental tests an a liquid fuel micro gas turbine fueled with pyrolysis oils and its blends”, Session 2AO.2 Biomass Combustion and micro-CHP Technologies.
On Tuesday, 13 June 2017, two further Oral sessions are based on the work performed also by RE-CORD researchers: “Gasification of grapevines pruning residues into a fuel flexible gasification system: experimental investigation” during Session 2BO.2 Gasification Integrated Systems, and the “Bioenergy in balancing grids and providing storage options – results of IEA bioenergy agreement special project” during Session IBO.8, Biomass Utilisation Perspectives.
The last two oral presentation will take place on Thursday, 15 June 2017 during the morning in Session 3DO.3 Thermally Treated Solid Biomass – Fundamentals (“Valorization of solid residues from anaerobic digestion through thermal and hydrothermal carbonization processes” held by Edoardo Miliotti) and during the afternoon within the Session 3DO.9 Thermally Treated Solid Biomass – Processes and Biochar Applications (“Performance assessment of a pilot autothermal carbonization unit” held by Andrea Maria Rizzo).
Then, come visit and meet us at the incoming EUBCE2017, at the Exhibition, Stand B4!
